Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) and prepare a loaf pan (grease and flour or line with parchment).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix gently.
- Fold in dried fruits and nuts evenly.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan, decorate with candied cherries.
- Bake for 70–80 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
