Description

Turtle Ice Cream Pie is a delightful frozen treat made with a graham cracker crust, layers of vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, caramel sauce, and chopped pecans.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups crushed graham crackers
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Whipped cream, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  2. Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan to form a crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  3. Once the crust is cool, spread half of the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the crust. Drizzle half of the chocolate syrup and half of the caramel sauce over the ice cream. Sprinkle half of the chopped pecans on top.
  4. Add the remaining vanilla ice cream on top of the first layer, smoothing it out evenly. Drizzle the remaining chocolate syrup and caramel sauce over the second layer of ice cream, then sprinkle the remaining pecans on top.
  5. Cover the pie with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  6. When ready to serve, remove the pie from the freezer and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly. Slice and serve with whipped cream on top.

Notes

  • For a chocolate crust, substitute the graham crackers with chocolate cookie crumbs.
  • Add a layer of chopped chocolate or caramel candies between the ice cream layers for extra texture and flavor.
