Ingredients
- 1 pound pound cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 cups vanilla pudding, prepared
- 2 cups whipped cream, divided
- 1 cup coconut flakes, sweetened
- 1 cup fresh cranberries, halved
- 1 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of whipped cream with the vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
- Spread half of the vanilla pudding over the pound cake layer.
- Add half of the whipped cream mixture on top of the pudding layer.
- Sprinkle half of the coconut flakes, cranberries, and toasted almonds over the whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, pudding, whipped cream mixture, coconut flakes, cranberries, and almonds.
- Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top layer of the trifle.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a festive touch, add a layer of crushed peppermint candies on top before serving.
- Substitute the cranberries with pomegranate seeds for a different flavor and a pop of color.
