Description

A delicious and easy recipe for honey garlic pork chops that are sure to impress your family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds bone-in pork chops (about 4 chops)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening sauce)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  2. Place the pork chops in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chops. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for best flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  4. Remove the pork chops from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later. Cook the chops for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
  5. While the pork chops are cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl and add it to the saucepan, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  6. Once the pork chops are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes. Drizzle the thickened sauce over the chops and garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables or over a bed of rice for a complete meal.
