Ingredients
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion, diced potatoes, carrots, and celery to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables start to soften.
- In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Pour the soup mixture over the beef and vegetable mixture in the skillet. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the melted butter, then sprinkle this mixture over the cheese layer.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
