Ingredients
- 240 g all-purpose flour
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 120 ml whole milk
- 60 g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 80 g chopped pecans
- 60 g unsalted butter (for glaze)
- 100 g brown sugar
- 60 ml heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 60 g chopped pecans (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a 12-cavity donut pan.
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Fold in the chopped pecans. Don’t overmix.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut cavities, filling each about ¾ full.
- Bake for 10–13 minutes, or until the donuts spring back lightly when touched.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
