Description

A delicious Cajun-inspired pasta dish featuring lobster and salmon in a creamy Alfredo sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound lobster meat, cooked and chopped
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the salmon fillet with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the salmon to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before flaking it into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine, lobster meat, and flaked salmon to the sauce. Toss gently to combine and heat through. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, increase the amount of Cajun seasoning or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Substitute shrimp for lobster for a different seafood flavor, or use a mix of seafood for variety.
