Description
A delicious Cajun-inspired pasta dish featuring lobster and salmon in a creamy Alfredo sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound lobster meat, cooked and chopped
- 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the salmon fillet with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the salmon to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before flaking it into bite-sized pieces.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Add the cooked fettuccine, lobster meat, and flaked salmon to the sauce. Toss gently to combine and heat through. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, increase the amount of Cajun seasoning or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Substitute shrimp for lobster for a different seafood flavor, or use a mix of seafood for variety.
