Description

A festive cake that combines a moist white cake with creamy frosting and a crunchy topping, perfect for Christmas celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • ½ cup red and green holiday sprinkles
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • 20 vanilla sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup red candy melts
  • ½ cup green candy melts
  • ¼ cup holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9 × 13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the cake mix, milk, oil, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract until smooth. Fold in the holiday sprinkles.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  4. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, then vanilla and heavy cream. Beat until fluffy.
  5. Mix crushed vanilla cookies with melted butter. Spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 8–10 minutes. Cool completely.
  6. Melt the red and green candy melts separately. Drizzle them over the cooled cookie crunch. Sprinkle with holiday sprinkles and let the candy coating harden.
  7. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled cake. Break the hardened cookie crunch into pieces and scatter generously over the frosting.
  8. Refrigerate for 30–60 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For an extra Christmas look, add red and green M&M’s, crushed peppermint candies, or white chocolate drizzle on top.
