Description
A delicious and hearty dish featuring fresh green beans and baby potatoes cooked with crispy bacon and ranch seasoning.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1½ lb baby potatoes, halved
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt, or to taste
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Add the chopped bacon to a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook until crispy. Remove about half of the bacon and set aside for topping.
- Leave about 2 tbsp bacon drippings in the pot. Add the onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the potatoes, green beans, chicken broth, ranch seasoning, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20–25 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender and the green beans are tender.
- Stir in the butter and the cooked bacon.
- Simmer uncovered for another 3–5 minutes to allow the flavors to come together.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Top with the reserved crispy bacon and serve warm.

- Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste.
