Description

A delicious layered dessert featuring a graham cracker crust, creamy cheesecake, and a warm caramel apple filling, all topped with caramel sauce and pecans.

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 5 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 16 oz (450 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups whipped topping, thawed
  • ¾ cup caramel sauce
  • ¾ cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup crushed graham crackers
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch disposable foil tray. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  2. Cook the apples. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook for 8–10 minutes until softened.
  3. Thicken the filling. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the apples. Cook another 1–2 minutes until thickened. Allow to cool completely.
  4. Prepare the cream. Beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
  5. Assemble the layers. Spread half the cheesecake mixture over the chilled crust. Add the cooled cinnamon apples, drizzle with some caramel sauce, then spread the remaining cheesecake mixture over the apples.
  6. Add toppings. Sprinkle chopped pecans, crushed graham crackers, and cinnamon evenly over the cream. Finish with generous caramel drizzle.
  7. Chill. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, until the dessert is firm enough to serve.
  8. Serve. Keep chilled until ready to enjoy.
