A quick and easy recipe for a delicious crustless tuna quiche that is perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper (any color)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until softened.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika until well combined.
- Stir in the drained tuna, sautéed onion and bell pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese into the egg mixture.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in a teaspoon of Dijon mustard or a splash of hot sauce to the egg mixture.
- Substitute the tuna with cooked, shredded chicken or diced vegetables for a vegetarian option.
