  • 2 dozen glazed donuts
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate fudge sauce
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing each glazed donut in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer.
  2. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, arrange half of the donut halves in a single layer, cut side up.
  3. Spread half of the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the donut layer.
  4. Drizzle half of the chocolate fudge sauce over the ice cream.
  5. Place the remaining donut halves on top of the fudge sauce, cut side down.
  6. Spread the remaining vanilla ice cream over the second layer of donuts.
  7. Drizzle the rest of the chocolate fudge sauce on top of the ice cream.
  8. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  9. Once frozen, remove the cake from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes for easier slicing.
  10. Top with whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and chopped nuts if desired before serving.
