Ingredients
- 2 cans (15 ounces each) cherry pie filling
- 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks), melted
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread the cherry pie filling evenly across the bottom.
- Pour the crushed pineapple over the cherry pie filling, spreading it evenly.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the fruit layers, ensuring complete coverage.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, making sure to cover as much of the mix as possible.
- If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts and ground cinnamon over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
