Description

Easy Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Roll-Ups are a delightful dessert made with flour tortillas, butter, and a sweet cinnamon-sugar mixture, perfect for a quick treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium flour tortillas, about 8 inches each
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
  • Powdered sugar, for serving, optional
  • Optional fillings: ¼ cup mini chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened, 1 small banana, thinly sliced, 2 tablespoons chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until evenly combined.
  3. Combine the melted butter with the vanilla extract, if using. Brush one side of each tortilla generously with the butter.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered tortillas. If desired, add a small amount of chocolate chips or another filling.
  5. Starting at one edge, roll each tortilla tightly into a cylinder. Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush the outside of each roll with a little additional melted butter and sprinkle with any remaining cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, turning the rolls once halfway through if needed, until lightly golden and crisp on the outside.
  8. Allow the rolls to cool for 2–3 minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired, and enjoy while warm.

Notes

  • Roll tightly to help the tortillas hold their shape while baking.
  • Don’t overfill to prevent the rolls from opening or leaking.
  • For extra crunch, brush lightly with butter and bake for another 1–2 minutes, watching carefully.
  • Try cooking in an air fryer at 350°F for about 5–7 minutes, checking frequently.
  • For a creamy texture, spread a thin layer of sweetened cream cheese inside before adding the cinnamon sugar.
