Description

A quick and tasty stir-fry recipe featuring ground beef and fresh bean sprouts, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until it starts to soften.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then stir in the soy sauce and oyster sauce. Mix well.
  6. Add the bean sprouts to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until the sprouts are tender but still crisp.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding sliced bell peppers or carrots to the stir-fry.
  • Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
