Heaven in a Bowl is a delightful layered dessert featuring creamy pudding, fresh fruits, and cake, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (100 g) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 480 ml cold milk
  • 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 240 ml heavy whipping cream
  • 450 g strawberries, sliced
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 can (425 g) crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1 prepared vanilla or yellow cake, cut into cubes
  • 100 g chopped pecans or walnuts, optional
  • 240 ml heavy whipping cream (for topping)
  • 30 g powdered sugar (for topping)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for topping)
  • 100 g strawberries, sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding: Whisk the vanilla pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes, until thickened.
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Fold the cream cheese mixture into the vanilla pudding until smooth.
  5. Assemble the bowl: Place a layer of cake cubes in the bottom of a large trifle bowl.
  6. Add a layer of sliced strawberries, bananas, and pineapple.
  7. Spread a layer of the creamy pudding mixture over the fruit.
  8. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the creamy mixture.
  9. Make the topping: Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spread or pipe it over the top.
  10. Garnish with sliced strawberries and chopped nuts.
  11. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, so the cake becomes soft and the flavors blend.
