Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- ½ cup granulated sugar (for filling)

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toss sliced strawberries with sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until creamy.
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until just combined.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries, then gently spread the cobbler batter over the top.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the strawberry filling is bubbling around the edges.
- Let cool for at least 15–20 minutes before serving so the layers can set.
- Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
