Description
A delicious and spicy Jalapeño Cheese Ball perfect for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
- 2–3 fresh jalapeños, finely diced
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add cheddar, pepper jack, jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Cover and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes to firm up.
- Shape the mixture into a ball.
- Combine the chopped pecans and parsley on a plate. Roll the cheese ball in the mixture, gently pressing so the coating sticks.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve with crackers, tortilla chips, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- For a milder cheese ball, remove the jalapeño seeds and membranes.
- For extra heat, add a finely chopped pickled jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne.
