Description
Delicious and easy-to-make One-Bowl Maple Pecan Blondies that are perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¾ cup chopped pecans
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Heat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla and whisk until well combined.
- Add the dry ingredients: Stir in the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon just until no dry streaks remain. Do not overmix.
- Fold in pecans: Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
- Bake: Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 22–27 minutes, until the edges are golden and the center is set but still slightly soft.
- Cool: Let the blondies cool completely in the pan before slicing. For extra-clean slices, chill them for 20–30 minutes.
- Serve: Cut into squares and enjoy plain or drizzle with a little extra maple syrup.
Notes
- For deeper flavor, toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium-low heat for 3–5 minutes before adding them to the batter.
