Description
Peach Dump Cake is a simple and delicious dessert made with sliced peaches and a cake mix topping, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 (29 oz/820 g) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup, do not drain
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for a thicker filling)
- 1 box (15.25 oz/432 g) yellow cake mix
- ¾ cup (170 g) unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick cooking spray.
- Pour the undrained peaches into the prepared baking dish. Stir in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch (if using).
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches. Do not stir.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much of the surface as possible. Sprinkle the chopped pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon evenly over the top.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling around the edges.
- Let the dump cake cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, fresh whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and fresh peach slices for garnish.

- For a thicker filling, use cornstarch.
