Description

Pecan Pie Bark is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that combines the flavors of pecan pie with the convenience of a bark. Perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own!

Ingredients

  • 12–14 graham cracker sheets
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped pecans (optional)
  • A pinch of flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed 10 x 15-inch baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil lightly greased with butter.
  2. Arrange the Graham Crackers: Place the graham cracker sheets in a single layer across the prepared baking sheet. Break pieces as needed to cover the surface without large gaps.
  3. Make the Pecan Caramel: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and salt. Stir continuously until the mixture begins to bubble.
  4. Boil the Mixture: Allow the butter and sugar mixture to boil for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened and glossy. Remove from heat.
  5. Add the Pecans: Stir in the chopped pecans, vanilla extract, and cinnamon if using. Mix until the pecans are evenly coated in the caramel mixture.
  6. Spread the Topping: Carefully pour the hot pecan mixture over the graham crackers. Spread evenly with a spatula, covering as much of the surface as possible.
  7. Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the caramel is bubbling and the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Add Optional Chocolate: If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot bark. Let them soften for 2–3 minutes, then spread into a thin layer.
  9. Cool Completely: Remove from the oven and allow the bark to cool completely at room temperature for about 1 hour, or refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  10. Break Into Pieces: Once completely set, lift the bark from the baking sheet and break it into irregular pieces. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
  11. Serve: Arrange the pecan pie bark on a serving platter and enjoy!
