Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of the pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough from the wide end to the point, sealing the filling inside.
- Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of cinnamon to the pecan mixture.
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans if you prefer a different nut.
- For a chocolate twist, add a handful of mini chocolate chips to the filling.
