Description
Pineapple Pretzel Fluff is a delightful dessert that combines the sweet and salty flavors of crushed pretzels, creamy pineapple fluff, and a hint of crunch.
Ingredients
- 2 cups mini pretzels, roughly crushed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, well drained
- 1 container (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- ½ cup chopped pecans, optional
- A few extra crushed pretzels for garnish
- Small pineapple chunks, optional for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Stir until the pretzel pieces are evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Watch carefully so the sugar doesn’t burn.
- Remove from the oven and allow the mixture to cool completely. Break it into small crunchy pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the vanilla extract and beat again until fully combined.
- Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula until light and fluffy.
- Drain the crushed pineapple thoroughly and fold it into the creamy mixture until evenly distributed.
- Stir in the mini marshmallows and chopped pecans, if using, mixing gently.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 1–2 hours to allow the flavors to blend.
- Fold most of the cooled pretzel crunch into the fluff just before serving, reserving some for sprinkling on top.
- Transfer the pineapple pretzel fluff to a serving bowl, sprinkle the remaining pretzel crunch over the top, and garnish with pineapple chunks if desired.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- For best results, add the pretzel crunch just before serving to maintain its crispness.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
- This dessert can be made a day in advance for convenience.
