A fun and delicious recipe for Redneck Goblin Snacks that will impress your friends at any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
- 1/2 cup finely chopped jalapeños
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions
- Optional: sliced black olives or candy eyes for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease and let it cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix the sausage, cream cheese, cheddar, pepper jack, jalapeños, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Cut each triangle in half if you want smaller snacks.
- Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture onto each piece of dough. Fold or roll the dough around the filling and pinch the edges closed.
- Arrange on the baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with green onions and decorate with sliced olives or candy eyes if desired.
- Serve warm with ranch dressing, queso, or spicy dipping sauce.
Notes
- These snacks can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
- Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer jalapeños.
