Description

These St. Patrick’s Day Cake Pops combine moist cake and a smooth candy coating for a fun and festive treat. Made with fat-free yogurt and egg whites, they are lighter yet just as delicious. Whether for a party, a family gathering, or a personal indulgence, these cake pops are a lucky charm for your dessert table!

Ingredients

Vanilla or yellow cake mix, fat-free yogurt, egg whites, water, white chocolate or candy melts (green, white, or rainbow colors), green sprinkles, edible glitter, cake pop sticks.

Instructions

Bake the Cake

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, yogurt, egg whites, and water until smooth. Pour batter into a cake pop pan or a greased baking dish and bake according to package instructions. Let the cake cool completely before handling.

2. Shape the Cake Pops

If using a cake pop pan, the pops should already be formed. Otherwise, crumble the baked cake into fine pieces and mix with a small amount of frosting to bind. Roll into even-sized balls and place on a lined baking sheet. Freeze for 15-20 minutes to firm up.

3. Prepare the Coating

Melt white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Dip cake pop sticks into melted chocolate, then insert into each cake ball to secure.

4. Coat and Decorate

Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Let excess chocolate drip off, then immediately sprinkle with green sprinkles or edible glitter. Place upright in a foam block or cake pop stand to set.

5. Serve and Enjoy

Once fully set, arrange cake pops in a decorative stand or wrap individually for a festive touch. Enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day-inspired sweet treat!

Notes
