Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 (3 oz) package strawberry Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved, then let it cool to room temperature.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually fold in the Cool Whip until well combined with the cream cheese.
- Once the Jell-O mixture has cooled, slowly add it to the cream cheese and Cool Whip mixture, stirring gently until fully incorporated.
- Fold in the sliced strawberries, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts (if using) until evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to set.
- Serve chilled, and enjoy!
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute the cream cheese with Greek yogurt.
