Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together egg, granulated sugar, vegetable oil, sour cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring gently.
  5. Fold in three-quarters of the apple mixture, then pour into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Top with the remaining apple mixture and bake for 50 to 55 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool the bread in the pan for about 30 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together sifted powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  9. Once cooled, drizzle the glaze over the bread and allow it to set before slicing.
