Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  2. Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir until everything is well combined.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
  7. Serve the rice bowl topped with crispy bacon and chopped green onions.
