Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and diced onion to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is softened.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well and remove from heat.
In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread half of the frozen French fries evenly across the bottom.
Pour the beef mixture over the fries, spreading it out evenly.
Top with the remaining French fries and sprinkle the rest of the cheddar cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
If using, add sliced pickles and mustard on top before serving.
