  • 1 8 oz container whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 ounce dark chocolate grated (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.

  6. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined and creamy.
  7. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled chocolate crust.
  9. Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
  10. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set properly.
  11. Before serving, sprinkle the grated dark chocolate on top for garnish.
