Step-by-Step Instructions
- Activate Yeast: Mix warm water with sugar, sprinkle yeast and let sit for 10–15 minutes until frothy.
- Prepare Dough: Whisk flour and salt, pour in yeast mixture and olive oil, stir until sticky dough forms.
- Refrigerate: Coat dough with olive oil, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
- Prepare Baking Pan: Preheat oven to 450°F, grease a 9x13-inch pan with olive oil and pour melted butter in the center.
- Shape Dough: Remove dough from refrigerator, deflate gently, spread in pan and let rise for 1½–2 hours.
- Make Cinnamon Sugar: Melt butter in a saucepan, add brown sugar and cinnamon, stir until smooth.
- Shape & Fill: Create dimples in risen dough and drizzle cinnamon sugar mixture over it.
- Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Ice: Let cool slightly, whisk powdered sugar, milk and vanilla, drizzle over warm focaccia.
