Cooking Instructions
- Cook the linguine according to the package instructions in a large pot of boiling salted water. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart, until it’s browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, ground black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
- Mix the cornstarch with the water to create a slurry. Pour into the skillet and stir for about 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the sauce, tossing gently to coat. Heat through for another 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish the dish with sliced green onions. Serve hot.
