Description

A delicious and creamy Yellow Velvet Oreo Cheesecake that combines the flavors of yellow cake and Oreo cookies, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Oreo cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup crushed yellow Oreos (about 10 cookies)
  • ½ cup yellow chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and mix until incorporated. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the sour cream and heavy cream until fully combined. Gradually add the yellow cake mix and mix until smooth.
  6. Gently fold in the crushed yellow Oreos and yellow chocolate chips, if using.
  7. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust in the springform pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour to cool gradually.
  9. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
  10. Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan and slice the cheesecake into wedges to serve.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, drizzle melted white chocolate over the top of the cheesecake before serving.
  • Substitute the yellow Oreos with regular Oreos for a classic flavor or use gluten-free cookies for a gluten-free version.
