Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 oz) Devil’s Food chocolate cake mix
- Ingredients required on the cake mix box
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sundae topping
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ⅓ cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the Devil’s Food cake mix according to the package directions. Bake in a greased 9×13-inch pan. Let it cool completely.
- Using the handle of a wooden spoon, skewer, or chopstick, poke deep holes evenly across the entire cake.
- Slowly pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
- Spread the caramel sundae topping evenly over the entire surface.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. For the best flavor and texture, chill overnight.
- Spread the thawed whipped topping evenly over the chilled caramel layer.
- Sprinkle with chopped pecans and mini chocolate chips.
- Finish with the salted caramel sauce.
- Keep refrigerated until ready to serve, then cut into squares and enjoy chilled.
