Description

Oreo Layered Halloween Brownies are a delicious and festive treat perfect for Halloween celebrations, featuring layers of rich brownie, cream cheese, and crushed Oreo cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 10 cookies)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup Halloween-themed sprinkles
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer in the pan.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and gently spread it to cover the cream cheese layer.
  9. Sprinkle mini marshmallows and Halloween-themed sprinkles over the top of the brownies.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares. For best results, chill in the refrigerator for an hour before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a layer of chocolate ganache on top after the brownies have cooled.
  • You can substitute the Oreo cookies with any other sandwich cookie for a different taste.
